The full review

Two days is the shortest way to get the full tag-along experience: the driving, the campfire and the big swims. You are back in Rainbow Beach by mid-afternoon on day two.

Day one is the beach, with the Maheno wreck and Eli Creek. Day two turns inland for the rainforest walk along Wanggoolba Creek and a long swim in Lake McKenzie. Compared with the three-day tour you give up the Champagne Pools, Lake Wabby and a second night around the fire.

It only runs on Saturdays, so plan your route around it. Why it earns Best 2-Day Tag-Along and a 4.5: it is the cheapest way on this list to drive yourself on K'gari, with the essentials included.
