3 Day Tag-Along & Camping · Rainbow Beach
Dingo's is the classic backpacker tag-along, and it leaves every single day. You drive a 4WD in a small convoy behind your guide, swim in Lake McKenzie and the Champagne Pools, and walk across the sand to Lake Wabby. Both nights are in tents at a private campsite just metres from the beach.
Most dates are $659. A few peak dates are $709, we confirm the fare for your date when you book.
Self-drive 4WD tag-along, two nights camping beside the beach. Safety briefing 7:00am, every day.
Tides and weather can change the order. Your guide confirms each day at the start.
If your east coast plans keep shifting, this is the K'gari trip that fits around them. The three-day tag-along departs daily from Rainbow Beach, and Dingo's has been running these trips for more than 19 years.
It is a proper tag-along. A guide drives the lead car and up to four cars follow on the radio. You learn to drive on sand at the 7am briefing, then try it on 75 Mile Beach. The camp is simple but well placed, a few metres from the beach and managed by the Butchulla. The tents are already up when you arrive, and there is a campfire at night.
Budget for a few extras, because showers, firewood and damage cover are not in the price. Why it earns Most Flexible Tag-Along and a 4.8: it leaves every day, and past guests rate it very highly.
We live in Cairns and we book these tours every week. These are the guides we send guests before they choose.
