Kuranda & Hartley's Crocodiles Review 2026: Rainforest and Wildlife in One Day

This is the combo for travellers who want the famous Kuranda journeys and a proper wildlife experience without giving up two separate days. It pairs the rainforest village, reached by the Scenic Railway and Skyrail, with Hartley's Crocodile Adventures on the coast road back to Cairns.

The morning is Kuranda: up by the heritage railway past Barron Falls, time in the village markets and rainforest, then the Skyrail cableway over the canopy. In the afternoon you stop at Hartley's, the region's best-run wildlife park, for the boat cruise on the croc-filled lagoon, the crocodile attack show, cassowary feeding and koalas. It's a long, full day, hosted by coach throughout, so there's no driving or logistics to manage.
