The region's only beach horse ride · 90-minute guided walk through Daintree rainforest & along Myall Beach · Cape Tribulation
I've booked a lot of Cape Tribulation days over the years, and this one still surprises people, because it's the only place in the region where you can actually ride a horse along the beach. You start with a gentle amble through the Daintree rainforest, then come out onto Myall Beach where the sand meets the water. That reveal never gets old.
It's a 90-minute guided ride at a relaxed walking pace, so there's no galloping and no pressure. I happily send complete beginners on it, riders who've never sat on a horse before come back beaming. Groups are kept small (max eight), the guides are calm and patient, and the setting does the rest. Two rides run daily, so you can pair it with a Cape Trib day trip.
At $190 per rider it's not the cheapest hour you'll spend up north, but it's genuinely one of a kind. My pick for the Best Beach Ride in the region.
