Trip Overview
- Duration:9 hours 0 minutes
- Travelers:90 guests
Passions of Paradise is one of Cairns’ most loved reef trips- relaxed, eco-focused, and ideal for couples & friend groups
You’ll sail aboard a fast, modern catamaran with a chilled, grown-up atmosphere and a crew who are fun, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the reef.
The onboard chef prepares a fresh tropical buffet lunch, and both morning and afternoon tea are included — no crowds, no rush, just an easy, enjoyable day on the water.
With exclusive access to Paradise Reef and a second outer reef site chosen for the day’s conditions, you’ll get excellent coral, great visibility, and a more relaxed vibe than the big family-focused boats.
Whether you want to snorkel, try scuba diving, or simply enjoy the sailing experience, Passions offers a social, authentic reef day without the “family chaos.”
Add optional extras like introductory or certified diving, underwater camera hire, or the eco Discovery Tour, and you can tailor the day exactly how you like.

Terms & Conditions
Check in is at our counter at the Reef Fleet Terminal, Marlin Marina from 7:00 am for 8 am departure. Bring, hat, sunscreen, bathing gear, sunglasses, towel, etc. as you would for travelling to the beach. We have credit card facilities on the boat. If hotel pick-up is required, contact Passions to arrange separately (fees paid at check in). The Levy is a fee levied on all passengers to cover park entry fees and administration costs. Passions of Paradise reserves the right to cancel the day tour due to poor weather conditions, mechanical problems or use another vessel, or travel to different reef sites. We offer a two destination itinerary chosen from our selection of over 24 locations. However at times, the weather may make one of these destinations unsafe or impractical to visit. On those days, we may only visit one location. In poor weather it is up to the Skippers discretion as he travels to the reef to decide which locations will be visited. He will choose keeping in mind your safety, the safety of the boat and your comfort. There are no refunds when the itinerary is changed. We will endeavour to sail as much as we can each day, however the wind speed and wind direction determine for how long this occurs. The skipper will keep everyone informed on our sailing plans for the day. Should the trip be cancelled due to poor weather or mechanical breakdown, we will refund 100% of the amount we charged.
